Bargain books July 10, 2021 Part two

Time travel is the theme of the next attractive collection to cross my path today. I enjoy reading time travel, it has all sorts of interesting possibilities. There can be wide differences in treatments, though, and I find myself approaching new experiences with caution, not feeling confidence about liking the experience. When I like it I like it, though.

I haven’t read very far on this to check it out but what I did read has me hooked. I want to know what comes next.

I love the cover too.

Nevermind Time: A Time Travel romance set

Enjoy these sweet, clean, time travel romances where time has no hold on love.

A TIME TO DIE
Herbert Groat has fixed all sorts of watches, but this? A watch that doesn’t just tell time, it goes back in time. In the nick of time. Evelin Barclay is an associate at Wanamaker’s in Philadelphia. She doesn’t know she’s about to be brutally murdered. Can Herbert set aside fear and disbelief to save her? Or will it be her time to die?

TIME WILL TELL
When one of Clay’s irate customers runs April’s car off the road on the Fourth of July, she’s mysteriously transported back in time to 1970 and given the chance to right a past wrong. Can she thwart a dangerous plot involving Clay’s grandfather that doomed Hackle County’s future and her relationship with Clay?

THE PORTAL
A plain wooden box. A travel through time. Will Tarin choose comfort or true love? Can these two from different times find the love they’re searching for?

A FRIEND IN HIGH PLACES

Was her aunt married? If so, who was that man at the cemetery? After reading the stack of love letters between Claudia and William, Kelly sees that a simple wrong assumption changed everything. If only she could go back and make things right…

CECILIA’S Y2 KEY
When Cecilia finds a key hanging on her Christmas tree, she’s afraid someone has broken in. The truth is much more frightening. When she opens the old oak chest in the attic on New Year’s Eve 1999, she is whisked back to 1900 because of an ancient family curse.

THE VORTEX
What do you do when your world is turned upside down and everything you knew is gone including years of your life and the only realities are an apple orchard and the man who lives there?

It’s a good thing the book is only 513 pages long, with six stories they haven’t been given too much time.

I see we have one more now too. BookRunes has a FREE suggestion I’m excited about. I have read this author before but it’s been awhile. The first few pages of this new book have me intrigued.

Honey Creek Homecoming (Honey Creek Romance Book 1)

Amazon quote:

Honey Creek is the one place on earth Olivia Swanson never wants to see again. When her step-grandmother sends for her, Olivia returns with a plan. To marry the town’s wealthiest bachelor, Payton Vance. But things go quickly awry for the self-absorbed, arrogant, and angry woman.

Secrets in her past, the devotion of a woman longing to be her grandmother, a destitute family, and Rusty Baker, the guy she humiliated in high school all push Olivia into an emotional battle only a Savior could help her win.

Over a short amount of time, Olivia learns she can’t make it alone no matter how independent, ambitious, and stubborn she is. Something spiritual is at play here. Her return to Honey Creek was no random happening. God has chosen this particular time and place to give Olivia a choice. Either trust Him or lose everything.

I’m going to have to have a reading marathon this weekend, with all these new books I’m excited to get to.

*********

This book situation is actually a very good thing right now as I wrestle with sadness. It would be nice if the people we love could live forever, or at least as long as we do, but they can’t. And they wouldn’t want to, when it comes right down to it.

I’m grateful for a basket full of enticing books, they will keep me from digging an impossible sadness pit I’d have trouble climbing out of.

While I don’t want to dig a bottomless hole, I do admit that the presence of sadness is a good thing. It means I love. And in this case deeply. I’m grateful we still have a little time, it’s not over yet.

To answer your question, it’s a beloved family member who has been in my life for decades. She holds a special place in my heart. She’s managed more than 90 years and we’ve been blessed to have her.

It’s ok to be happy and sad all at the same time.

I’m hanging on to happy to keep me afloat.

How Sweet It Is: Opposites Attract Christian Romance

Amazon quote:

Embrasser means to kiss in French. Delphine D’Arleux, traveling in Belgium for a candy-making class, doesn’t expect to have the word demonstrated to her, especially by a stranger.

Brad Larsen, an avowed chocoholic, knows he behaved badly by kissing the pretty French girl, but he can’t quite regret his actions. Can he show Delphine that a longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul?

**************************

The title of this book reminds me of a popular TV show from the 1950s, The Honeymooners with Jackie Gleason. It was pretty funny and Jackie’s face pops in everyone’s mind when they hear how sweet it is. It was on reruns for many years.

This author (Bonnie Blythe) has two bargain books for us. One of them was on my reading list in 2013, the other is new to me. Bonus.

Rock and A Hard Place: Love in Eastern Oregon (Cascade Brides Series Book 1)

Amazon quote:

The Three Sisters Mountains are part of the Cascade Mountain Range near the town of Sisters, Oregon. The peaks were named Faith, Hope, and Charity by early settlers.

In the Cascade Brides series, three estranged siblings named for the mountains, each in the far-flung reaches of the state, are drawn back to their childhood home in Sisters by men who ultimately help the siblings realize the blessings of family bonds.

Dearly Loved: Second Chance Christian Romance

Amazon quote:

The lovesick daydreams of Meredith Ambrose’s teenage years for neighborhood heartthrob David Steller have faded into uncomfortable memories-until he lands in a hospital bed in her unit where she works as an R.N.

David came to the Northwest to look her up-he just didn’t plan on their reunion occurring with him on a gurney.

Can he prove he’s really changed after all these years?

That’s it, so far, for today.

I’m enjoying comfortable temperatures in my house at the moment. They say the weather is about to heat back up again.

It’s funny how the weather goes from boiling to freezing (at least needing the furnace and more clothes) in just 24 hours.

I’m not complaining, the cool is a nice respite from too-hot.

It’s Friday, even better, I can sit and read to my heart’s content while sweltering this weekend.

Enjoy your books too.

I’m currently reading a fun mail order bride romance. Check out the synopsis and you will see why. It’s impossible not to feel a little bit sorry for this poor unsuspecting guy just minding his own business. It’s still FREE

An interesting bargain collection turned up on the author’s page. Seven books. This looks like it will be fun.

Albert: Angel Box Collection One

Amazon quote:

Albert the angel is on assingment!

Because let’s face it, sometimes romance needs a little help …

Albert, Angel Box Collection One, is made up of Kit Morgan’s books where Albert the Angel and his friends appear. Albert and his fellow angels are hard at work in these stories and do their best to make sure their charges have a Happily Ever After. Whether they’re working in historical times or contemporary, Albert and his friends always get their man, not to mention their woman, together! This collection includes:

Reading the Rancher: Can an heiress on the run and an illiterate cowboy have enough in common to have a chance at love? Albert thinks so! And it’s up to him and his special friend Bob to make sure Hattie Dodge and Cooper White do just that. But matchmaking isn’t without its problems, even for an angel.

Caring for the Cowboy: Albert’s angel friend, Myrtle, must try to give two people with nothing the most important thing of all: Love. But can she do it? Maja Van Dyne has been abused and unloved by her father for too long. Will she ever escape him?  And Baxter Hicks … well, let’s just say poor Baxter has problems of his own.

Redeeming the Rogue:  Atticus Judrow was a bounty hunter with a reputation for bringing in men more dead than alive. Though raised by a good family, he felt himself slipping into a life he wasn’t sure he could escape once he slid too far. Can the innocence and purity of one woman set him on the right path? With a little help from Albert’s friend Agatha, perhaps!

Watching the Wrangler: Arabella Simpson’s family lived a nomadic life. Now they were in Creede, Colorado and it was no different than other place they’d stayed and high-tailed it out of. But, she had to admit, the scenery was beautiful and in more ways than one. If she didn’t stop watching the wrangler at the neighboring ranch, they might have to vamoose for a reason other than her father’s gambling habit. Can two people determined not to fall in love find it? Maybe with a little help from one of Albert’s friend, Hansel, they can …

Nursing the Newcomer: Angel Thorne came to Creede to escape the matrimonial wiles of her aunt. But being a nurse in a place like Creede has its own trouble. Like everywhere else, no one can see past her pretty face, which makes Angel figure on a lifetime of spinsterhood. After all, she wants a man that will love her for her mind as well. Will she ever find such a man? Albert thinks so and sends his fastidious friend Louise to help.

Holidays with the Weavers: Albert and his friend Bob have their work cut out for them on this one. Olivia Bridger has a past, but darn if she can remember it. After being robbed, beaten and left for dead in a ditch, she’s found and taken in by the Weaver family. A family that knows her past … and wished they didn’t. And they’re not the only ones. Albert has met Olivia before, in Cutter’s Creek, Montana while on assignment there. True, Olivia was much younger, but she never grew out of the nastiness that took hold of her then. Can the Weaver family and Albert help Olivia find true love?

A Cowboy for Christmas: Amy Jo Weaver wasn’t looking for love, just an apartment. So when she saw an ad for one on the bulletin board at a café in Apple Blossom, she grabbed it. Better yet, the ad wasn’t for an apartment, but a cottage! And what a cottage it was too. Now her dreams of being out on her own were underway! The only fly in the ointment was her new landlord and her family wasn’t about to let her forget it. Can Albert’s friend Hattie along with a few towns people nudge Amy Jo and her landlord in the right direction?

My new Kindle is out for delivery, I’m so excited. It should be here anytime now. My current Kindle is about to draw it’s last breath, either that or explode in flames. Given the bizarre symptoms it’s been displaying in the last 24 hours, my money is on flames. Recharging happens only in dire emergencies. Twice a day.

BookBub has a FREE suggestion for us, A multi award winning book. It was first published in 2000, I don’t think I’ve read it but I could have. I was reading this author back then.

The Shepherd’s Voice: A Novel

Amazon quote:

Gabe Talmadge languished in prison for ten years, convicted of a horrible crime. Now free, he’s unable to find work in the midst of the Great Depression. In desperation, he returns home to Ransom, Idaho, hoping his uncaring father will give him food and shelter, if not love. But the prodigal isn’t welcomed home. Hudson Talmadge, who virtually owns the town, despises his son as much as ever, and Gabe is as powerless as an adult as he was as a child to win his father’s approval.

Hungry and hopeless, Gabe is rescued by the owner of a sheep ranch south of Ransom. Incredibly, Akira Macauley gives him a place to live and work to do. More than that, she gives him hope that he can receive forgiveness of his past – and perhaps even love. But when tragedy strikes Ransom once again and Gabe’s life begins to unravel, he must either sink into an abyss of hopelessness or cling to a faith, hope, and love stronger than any he has ever known.

A pre-order bargain suggestion for an author I’ve not read, showed up in the suggestion strip. I think I’ll take a chance, it sounds interesting.

Treasure Me: A sweet, clean, and faith-filled small-town Christmas romance

Amazon quote:

She wanted to stay. But putting down roots meant believing forever was possible.

Never in the same place for more than a season, Aubrey Gibson enjoyed the freedom her food truck business brought. With plans to join a major West Coast market dashed, she agrees to a quiet holiday season pet sitting at the local animal shelter for her veterinary technician friend. She can still serve a limited menu in the evenings at the local Christmas bazaar. But the rest she craved turns to anything but when she meets Shane Vaughn and finds herself tangled in all the charm and drama a small town has to offer.

Everyone knew the tragedy of the Vaughn Family Tree Farm. Full time computer IT programmer Shane Vaughn stays busy this time of year keeping family tradition alive by selling trees and coordinating the Chapel Cove Christmas bazaar. When a mama dog is abandoned on his property, the last person he expects to answer his call is Aubrey. Thrown together by chance and choice, Shane can’t help but enjoy the budding friendship, but he’s put down roots he can’t tear up and she’ll be long gone by New Year’s.

That’s all I’ve got at the moment.

As far as a current read goes, I’m having trouble settling on one. The book I’m checking out at the moment is a K9 story. The jury is still out, but maybe.

Someone’s out to end her life.

Can the K-9 unit shield her from harm?

Evidence from forensic specialist Darcy Fields could convict a killer—if she survives to testify.

A killer seems determined to discredit her, frighten her…and silence her, permanently.

Hounded by the press and stalked by a murderer, Darcy must depend on Officer Jackson Davison and his K-9 partner, Smokey, as danger inches nearer and the trial date closes in.

Free and bargain Romance June 28, 2021

BookBub has a FREE suggestion for us today. It’s by an author I’ve not read and I’m curious. Research found two bargain books in the same series and since it takes more than one book to know an author we are going for one more of them.

Numerically, we are not seeing them in the right order but that’s OK. We will start with the FREE book first.

A Cowboy and his Skipped Christmas: An Adams Sisters Novel (Chestnut Ranch Romance Book 8)

Amazon quote:

He’s been in love with her forever. She’s told him no more times than either of them can count. Can Theo and Sorrell find their way through past pain to a happy future together?

Cowboy Theo Lange has worked Fox Hollow Ranch for a while now, and he’s had his eye on the middle Adams sister since the day he started. He’s asked her out plenty of times, but she’s always said no. He knows there’s a story there, but Sorrell Adams hasn’t told it.

Be patient, he tells himself. And don’t ask her out again.

Sorrell Adams had her heart broken a decade ago, when she swore off cowboys for good. She and Theo are friends, and she tells herself this over and over. She likes spending time with him more than anyone else, though. She adores his kindness and his hardworking spirit, and as the days and months pass and she starts to heal, she also starts to wonder when he’ll ask her out again.

Because she’s prepared to say yes the next time he does.

When will he ask?

Maybe Sorrell should ask Theo…

A Cowboy and his Secret Kiss: An Adams Sisters Novel (Chestnut Ranch Romance Book 7)

Amazon quote:

He likes the pretty adventure guide next door, but she wants to keep their relationship off the grid. Can he kiss her in secret and keep his heart intact?

Cowboy Brian Gray has been sneaking off with Serendipity Adams for a couple of months before he breaks things off with her completely. He likes holding her hand in his truck and going to movies with her, but every time he suggests taking their relationship out of the shadows, she balks. Don’t need that in my life, he thinks. He does miss Seren, though.

Serendipity is the tall, awkward, says-what-she-thinks youngest sister in a trio at Fox Hollow Ranch. Her oldest sister is married now, to a cowboy at Chestnut Ranch, and Seren thinks maybe…just maybe…she could have her own Chestnut Ranch cowboy boyfriend too.

But there’s a catch. The middle sister has been hurt by cowboys in the past and Seren made a promise that she’d never date one. She didn’t know she actually liked cowboys…

No one’s ever come knocking on her door for a date. Until Brian…and you sure do like him.

Can Seren figure out how to get her cowboy boyfriend back and preserve her sister’s feelings? Or will Brian stay in the shadows forever?

1531 Entertainment has a suggestion too but it’s Mystery. I think I’ll put it is a separate post this time. Maybe more than one story will show up to keep it company.

*********

I’m excited.

My Kindle e reader has been acting up for awhile, behaving strangely, and now it won’t hold a charge more than a few hours. Forgetting it was tucked under my arm one day and dropping it down the stairs probably hasn’t helped anything either.

There was a notice waiting for me this morning, the new one ordered last night is on the way. This time it’ll come with a cover, anything to give it a softer landing should I happen to forget again.

I’m excited to see the non-black cover.

I figured I needed to be proactive and get the replacement ordered before the current one dies completely leaving me in the lurch. The withdrawal symptoms would be unbearable. I can still remember waiting a week when the last one died. (shudder)

The other thing I’m excited about is double the storage. I’m not sure if some of the strange behavior was space related but hopefully more room will solve any future issues if not present ones.

The other change to get used to will be the lighting. Up until now I’ve been partial to the non-lit screen.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

BookBub has a FREE suggestion for us from one of our regular authors.

A Family’s Blessing: A Sweet Small Town Romance (Love in Millars Crossing Book 2)

Amazon quote:

Sharing with the enemy is almost as bad as falling for them…

Ethan Westerveld wasn’t about to give up half the family farm to a complete stranger no matter how beautiful she was. But the ink was dry, the damage done and nothing could change the fact that Hannah Kristofferson was now fifty percent owner in his family farm.

But only if she stuck around.

Hannah, a born and bred city girl, had zero intentions of living on a farm.

Especially not the farm that was the home place of Sam Westerveld, the only father she had ever known.

A man who had betrayed her and her mother when he walked out on them all those years ago and back to Millars Crossing and the bosom of his tight-knit family and community.

One of the conditions of the will, however, was that Hannah had every right to do what she wanted with her half of the farm if she stayed six months. Stay and she could decide what she wanted to do with her half. Leave and she forfeited any right to the money.

Ethan never expected to have feelings for this headstrong beauty with her heart set on leaving. And Hannah didn’t expect to fall in love with Millars Crossing. Or her infuriatingly charming and handsome co-owner who never met a girl he couldn’t charm.

Hannah is determined to stay the course, but will she lose more than she might gain if she walks away from Ethan and a life that holds more than she ever dared dream of?

I’m currently reading one of yesterday’s downloads, it’s still FREE and it’s fun. It’s also a short read.

Three Little Words (Walker Family): A Novella

Amazon quote:

Ava Kingsley and Seth Walker might be the most unlikely friends ever. The only thing these two polar opposites have in common is a knack for wordsmithing. Back in college, they were known for their written sparring in the campus newspaper’s popular “He Says/She Says” column.

At their ten-year college reunion, they pick up right where they left off. Except this time their squabbling leads to a surprising turn: friendship and a year-long exchange of emails. So when Ava approaches a crossroads in her athletics department career in Minnesota, Seth is quick to offer the open apartment above the restaurant he’s been remodeling in Maple Valley, Iowa.

Ava doesn’t know where her career will lead her next, but she’s starting to suspect she might see Seth as more than a pen pal. Which would be exciting…except for the fact that he only sees her as a friend.

As Maple Valley grows on her, Ava wonders if there might be something here for her even though Seth is unavailable. And maybe, just maybe, after all the words the two of them have exchanged over the years, they’ll finally be able to say the three that matter most.

There were two other downloads yesterday from this same author. They were short reads and I can definitely recommend them as well.

It would be just wrong to quit at one book so I kept searching, A bargain with Melissa Tagg showed up, it looks interesting too.

A Place to Belong: A Maple Valley Novella

Amazon quote:

After years of mistakes and regret, coffee shop owner Megan Harrow has finally built a new life for herself and her daughter in quirky, but charming Maple Valley. But she’s not ready for the sparks that fly when she meets local nonprofit owner Eric Hampton . . . or for the sudden reappearance of an unwelcome face from her past.

Note from Melissa: Megan Harrow appears in all four of my Walker Family books. She’s a reader favorite and I can’t tell you how many notes I’ve received asking when she’s going to get her own story. Well, she’s finally getting the spotlight now. 🙂

****************************

My apologies to followers not able to read books out of season. I couldn’t resist this story and since I can read Christmas any time of year…

I’m thinking others must be able to read them as well, judging by the astounding number of Christmas themed books popping up on these search excursions.

One Enchanted Christmas: A Novella (Enchanted Christmas Collection Book 1)

Amazon quote:

Last December, mystery author Maren Grant had the most perfect night of her life. On a glimmering winter evening, she got to watch the photo shoot for her very first book and ended up on a magical date with the cover model himself—Colin Renwycke.

Fast forward one year. This December, with a looming deadline, restless spirit and her creative spark long since gone, Maren is desperate to get unstuck. And she can’t get Colin out of her head…or his year-old open invitation to spend a couple weeks writing at his family’s farm.

Drew Renwycke never planned to come home and take over the Renwycke family farm. But he’s spent too many years watching his siblings unravel, including his brother, Colin, after one terrible family mistake. If moving to Maple Valley, Iowa, renovating an old farmhouse and switching careers is what it takes to put the Renwycke family back together, he’ll do it.

But his simple plan upends when a scrappy author lands on his doorstep. And she just might be the key to coaxing his brother home. But what if he wants her all to himself? Drew will have to choose between his Christmas wish and the enchantment of a holiday romance that just might be the happy ending they all long for.

*****************************

Up until nearly the end of my search time, I thought I’d have to be content with just one new find but then I noticed two more. They are novellas, which is probably why I didn’t take a closer look on the first pass. The second look was definitely worth it and I’m thrilled with today’s treasures.

I hope they are to your liking too.

Just Look Up

Amazon quote:

After tirelessly climbing the ranks of her Chicago-based interior design firm, Lane Kelley is about to land her dream promotion when devastating news about her brother draws her back home—a quaint tourist town full of memories she’d just as soon forget. With her cell phone and laptop always within reach, Lane aims to check on her brother while staying focused on work—something her eclectic family doesn’t understand.

Ryan Brooks never expected to settle down in Harbor Pointe, Michigan, but after his final tour of duty, it was the only place that felt like home. Now knee-deep in a renovation project that could boost tourism for the struggling town, he is thrilled to see Lane, the girl he secretly once loved, even if the circumstances of her homecoming aren’t ideal.

Their reunion gets off to a rocky start, however, when Ryan can’t find a trace of the girl he once knew in the woman she is today. As he slowly chips away at the walls Lane has built, secrets from his past collide with a terrible truth even he is reluctant to believe. Facing a crossroads that could define his future with Lane and jeopardize his relationship with the surrogate family he’s found in the Kelleys, Ryan hopes Lane can see that maybe what really matters has been right in front of her all along—if only she’d just look up.

The Gathering Storm: The truth can set you free. It can also kill you. (When Darkness Falls Book 1)

Stephanie Walker lives a peaceful life until her undependable and dishonest father, Marty Walker, suddenly arrives at her home pleading with Stephanie to come with him to his Harrington Lodge in the beautiful Ozarks. Stephanie, suspicious of her father’s motives, declines her father’s invitation.

After his departure, Stephanie discovers the diamond necklace she borrowed from her aunt is missing. Racing through a raging thunderstorm, Stephanie drives to the lodge to reclaim the stolen item.

But when she arrives, Stephanie finds her father dead, her aunt’s diamond necklace gone, and a pair of handcuffs fitted just for her. Stephanie’s claims of innocence fail to sway the local sheriff, who produces several pieces of evidence linking her to the murder. With a shaky alibi and a vindictive stepmother, Stephanie turns to a lodge employee for help. But will Brad Wilson’s assistance lead Stephanie to the real killer or prove to be her undoing? Like a gathering storm on a warm summer evening, Stephanie’s world darkens until she’s forced to turn to the one true source of knowledge. But what she learns about her father, family, and her own inner demons are more horrifying than the lies she’s come to believe.

Remember Home: A Second Chance Military Romance (Healing Hearts)

Amazon quote:

Dear John…
For teacher Lily Hogan, those words would come to mean so much. She knew that giving back to the community brought joy into people’s lives. When her fourth-grade class writes letters to the military overseas in Afghanistan, she takes up her own pen and leads her students by example – writing a letter to an unknown soldier.

CPO John Griffin and his K-9 dog, Radar, have been through so much together over the last several years. Sniffing out bombs, searching the hills and mentoring his team, he feels so alone and unsure of his future- until a letter reminds him that there’s more to life in this world he’s protecting. Simple words, a kind gesture and feeling that he isn’t forgotten out there in the desert, compels him to write back. Before long, he finds himself looking forward to the care packages and letters from his pen-pal halfway across the world.

With every letter and every word, they begin to develop a friendship and wonder what the other person is truly like? Major life changes are scary enough as it is – but is it possible to fall in love with someone before you’ve even laid eyes upon them? Can the magic of the season bring the sweetest gift of all?

See Me : A sweet, faith-filled fake engagement romance

Amazon quote:

Fairytale romances can’t happen in real life. Or can they?

It’s love at first sight when reclusive inventor Jesse Buckley meets unemployed music teacher Bronte, moonlighting as a take-out delivery driver. Okay, so splattering guacamole and sour cream over them both wasn’t the best way to impress the woman he hopes to make his wife, but from here on the only way is up, right? Still, maybe offering her a job as his chauffeur and personal assistant wasn’t one of his best ideas.

It means he’ll see her almost every day, sure. It also means, as one of his employees, she’s out-of-bounds. Besides, though he’s had to admit to his failing eyesight, he hasn’t told her yet that one day he’ll become completely blind. And he’s managed to keep the little fact he’s one of the wealthy owners of the business a secret, letting her believe he’s just another staff member.

The Real Thing: A sweet & clean opposites-attract disabled hero romance in Scotland (The Macleans Book 4)

Amazon quote:

He’s an embittered cynic. She’s a perpetually cheerful Pollyanna. They both need to learn what trusting God really means.

Disabled since birth, bullied as a child, Edinburgh author Brodie Maclean has no faith in God, or in human nature. He learned young that his best weapons are his sharp tongue and his biting honesty, and he doesn’t hesitate to use them.

When he’s forced to employ Flynn Ferguson as his housekeeper, it’s instant dislike. She’s too cheerful, she’s too loud, she’s too everything. Including distracting. How is he supposed to write with her around?

Even always-look-on-the-bright-side Flynn finds it hard to be glad about her grouchy boss, apart from the little fact the generous salary he pays means she won’t be evicted. As soon as she can (“Tomorrow, please Lord?”), she’ll quit.
Neither intends to deceive the other, but only when they meet online, safe behind names that aren’t their names and photos that aren’t their photos, are they able to be their real selves and fall in love. Can they recognize the truth behind their false impressions before it’s too late?

It’s a good thing we now have a few new books to put the smile back on our face.
