Last post I mentioned I was out for the count after my second covid shot. They said the side effects should clear up in 48 hours. Well, it’s been three days and cleared up hasn’t put in an appearance yet. I’m forcing myself out of bed, to see if up-and-moving will help things along. The energy levels are fading fast so I’ll keep this short.
A couple of bargain books by favorite authors were in the Amazon suggestion strip just now.
I’ve read book 1 in this series and I’m excited to read book 2.
Capturing Sosimo: A Sweet Romantic Suspense (Stryker Security Force Book 2)

Amazon quote:
A billionaire inventor hiding her identity. An ex-soldier determined to protect her. Will her lies compromise their chance at love?
There’s nothing Sosimo Rivas hates more than liars.
But in his new job with Stryker Security Force as private protection for the rich, he sees his fair share of them. Sosimo spends most of his time working on old engines and keeping their clients safe. The first he loves. The second he tolerates — until he meets June.
June’s made billions inventing gadgets for the military.
But the person in the spotlight is a fake, someone she created to hide behind. Her ruse was working perfectly — until her latest invention attracted the attention of the wrong kind of people. Now, she’s forced to hire a bodyguard who tempts her from her solitary life.
Will June be able to trust her protector when all she’s built is threatened? And will Sosimo stand by the only woman he’s ever loved when he discovers the truth?

One more book I’m excited to see is from another favored author, I’ve read book 1 in this series as well.
The Price of Valor (Global Search and Rescue Book #3)

Amazon quote:
Former Navy SEAL Hamilton Jones thought that the love of his life was dead. But when a girl claiming to be his daughter shows up with a dire message from his wife, Ham knows he will stop at nothing to find her and bring her home.
Kidnapped by rebels while serving as an interpreter in Ukraine, Signe Kincaid has spent the past decade secreting out valuable information about Russian assets in the US to her CIA handler. Fearing for her daughter after being discovered as an operative, Signe sends her to Ham for safekeeping. She’s ready to give her life for her country, and she can hardly expect Ham to rescue her after breaking his heart over and over.
When Ham discovers the reason Signe has kept her distance, he must choose between love for his wife and love for the nation he has vowed to protect. Will he save the many? Or the few?

It’s been a while since I’ve checked any of the usual suggestion sources. Maybe later.
I’ll share if I, hopefully, have energy.
I’ve read 4 excellent books in the last few days so I can share them later as well.
Happy Reading
