This is a slow book day but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. We’ve had quite a few books already this week and slow will give us a chance to catch up so we’ll be ready for more next week.

I’m currently reading an interesting book that doesn’t qualify as a feel-good read. It’s more like real and raw. Not raw in a bad way, just slightly uncomfortable. Uncomfortable is good.

How cool is that, both authors are named Rose and I read them both for the first time last year.

It’s awesome when we have variety. Sometimes the choices all seem to be similar. Lately we have had different genres on the same day and it’s been wonderful. More of the same today.

Currently I’m still reading and enjoying the book I started last night. Today has not been a good day for reading, just a good day for work and thinking about some other stuff. I’m anxious to get back to it though. A few stolen minutes here and there is just not nearly enough, in my estimation.

It has been a good day otherwise though.

BookBub has a bargain suggestion I’m excited to read. I’m not always a big fan of historical fiction but this one caught my interest as I read the first chapter. I predict this will not be a boring read.

BookBub has a bargain suggestion for us. A collection. The first chapter has me willing to give it a go. I have read two other books by this author but didn’t make a note of my thoughts so I’d remember if I enjoyed the experience. I definitely like the first chapter in this one.

Today was another 30 C day and it was lovely. I was having trouble staying awake and snoozed for awhile out on the deck. There was a gentle breeze to make the heat enjoyable. What a great way to finish off summer.

I’m still here. Too many bright shiny things catching my eye on the internet, keeping me glued to my chair. Times a-wasting and I’d best get moving. The plan is to mix up a batch of cookies to bake in the morning. My newly arrived grandsons will be stopping by for a few minutes tomorrow evening and it would be a crying shame to be found cookie-less at such an important time as that.

BookBub has a bargain suggestion. Researching this book I found I’ve read the series collection books 1-5 already. Looking into it further I found books 1 and 2 are either free or bargain as well as book 3. With that in mind I’ll list all three. It’s too bad the box set is full price now but these three are a good deal. Although 5 books for $10.00 is not bad either.
